Bedford River Festival 2002

On Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th July 2002 Bedford and the River Great Ouse came alive, as 250,000 people attended one of the biggest free family events in the country. The festival was a unique combination of carnival, funfair and fete, which took place on the river and surrounding parkland. The Festival offered numerous opportunities to participate in, or just to relax and enjoy. It featured a host of artists and performers, river craft, masquerade parade, trade stands and arts and crafts marquees. Our thanks go to our major partners Autoglass, Charles Wells Brewery, Bedford College and Times and Citizen, and our sponsors who provide added value and enjoyment to the event. For a full list of the Bedford River Festival Sponsors and information on how to become a sponsor of future Festivals
